Reviews & Testimonials
“My name is Jennifer and my experience as a student in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program at CNIH has been incredibly rewarding. The curriculum was thorough and well-structured, providing a solid foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of sonography. The instructors were knowledgeable and supportive, always willing to offer guidance and share their expertise. The DMS course also offers 8 months practicum which I believe will really help apply my knowledge into the real world. Overall, the program equipped me with the knowledge and experience I needed to excel in the field and feel well-prepared for my career in diagnostic imaging. “

“Being a student in the Dental Hygiene program at the Canadian National Institute of Health is both a rewarding and challenging experience. The 18-month program is fast-paced and condensed, providing an intense yet comprehensive education. The instructors are highly knowledgeable and supportive, always encouraging students to reach their full potential. The administrative staff are friendly and approachable, creating a welcoming environment for students. Although the journey begins with a group of strangers, it doesn’t take long for strong bonds to form, and by the end, you’ll find yourself surrounded by lifelong friends. With a mix of Zoom and on-campus classes, the program is designed to keep you engaged and constantly learning. Clinical practice is particularly enjoyable, offering students the opportunity to work directly with the public in a hands-on clinic setting. It’s a great way to apply your knowledge in real-life scenarios, all while building valuable skills. The program has an excellent reputation for producing highly skilled dental hygienists, making it an ideal choice for anyone looking to enter the field with confidence. “

“I graduated from the dental hygiene program at CNIH in 2023 and my experience was a very positive one.I felt well prepared for the national board exam and I was really excited to join the profession afterwards. I had no problem getting registered in my province (PEI) and finding employment right away. The instructors both in the clinic and for theory were experienced, thorough, helpful and I always felt fully supported. It’s not an easy program, you have to put in the work but the program is run well and they have some excellent staff who go above and beyond to help you get the most out of your experience there. “
Cheri C., Alumni, Class of 2023
“I completed my dental hygiene here in 2021, located in the heart of Ottawa. Shanie in admin is absolutely amazing. She is able to help cater to any questions and the educators do their best to help deliver the information across in a manner where you can understand it. Caroline is the best teacher you will ever have.
Hands on experience and clean environment. They have a high success rate in graduates! Compressed program as well which allows you to graduate and work faster!”
Muhyi K., Alumni, Class of 2021
“A friend recommended the CNIH Dental Hygiene Clinic, and I cannot thank her enough! I very much appreciate CNIH’s location because it is very accessible by bus. To date, I have had three sessions of two or three appointments each. The place is spotlessly clean, the staff highly professional, everyone is personable and caring, and the cleaning and advice on dental care are very thorough. In addition, the results of my check-ups including x-rays have been immediately forwarded to my regular dentist upon request. Great job, CNIH!
Ann C., Patient
After being a part of the administrative team for almost two years, I enjoy working with supportive colleagues in an environment that fosters well-being and consistent learning as an integral part of propelling the dental hygiene profession into the future. “
